Lead vocals, Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, mascot design and sound (thank you Tony!)
Tony is the heart and soul of Midnight Blind. Don’t let him fool you by his day job of teaching America’s youth…this guy is a just a big kid himself. We think he’s secretly a hoarder (of band equipment, that is) but thank God he is because if he wasn’t, we’d have to hire out our sound and we’re too cheap for that.
This guy has been around and has probably played with more local bands than anyone on our stage. If you took away his joy of playing guitar, we think Tony would end up in an insane asylum so we’d rather just keep him jammin’ and out of trouble. Tony was rocked in a crib as a baby and he’ll be rockin’ on stage ’til the day he dies.
Tony’s biggest pride and joy is his Paul Reed Smith guitar and we’re glad he’s having such a love affair with it because it truly is a match made in Heaven and we get to reap the benefits. He tells us it’s the little voices in his head that make him play guitar. Well, if those voices ever stop talking, Midnight Blind is in big trouble.
This art teacher gone rock star has a big heart and a lot of talent and he has no qualms sharing the stage with another guitar player, so Al…you need not fear, for dual leads are here!
Tony’s only complaint is that he’s a prisoner to the mic but we don’t intend on letting him quit his job of singing lead vocals anytime soon. And as long as Lisa keeps him in check to sing harmonies while she sings lead, he will unfortnately have to stay married to his mic stand along with all his other jobs in the band. We just keep telling him, “Don’t you worry ’bout a thing…you’ll be fine.”
Tony works his magic in making us sound good and we simply could not do it without him.
