Who the heck is Midnight Blind?

Midnight Blind is a rock variety cover band “born and raised” in Wayne County, New York.  We play everything from classic rock to modern rock and everything in between.  Our line-up includes former members of local cover band favorites Unbalanced, Common Ground, Sound Conspiracy and Bad Habit.  We’re just a bunch of regular “Joe’s” who happen to love to jam and entertain people.  We love to rock and we love to roll and playing in this band is a great alternative to the mundane things in life.  We won’t be going to Hollywood anytime soon but there’s no place like home anyway. 

Playing primarily at bars, Midnight Blind is available to rock at weddings, private parties or anywhere you want to enjoy good music and great times. 

How Did They Get Their Name and What does it Mean?

Well, we hate to disappoint you but it really doesn’t mean anything.  We liked the “midnight” reference because we usually play at night and we liked the “blind” reference because…well…just because. Make sense?

What, exactly, is “Rock Variety”?

The members of Midnight Blind recently sat down to talk about what type of band we would classify ourselves to be.  We have chosen songs that will keep you rockin’ and dancin’ into the wee hours of the morning.  Our criteria is to have songs that stir the soul and move the feet.  We aren’t exactly a “classic rock” band or a traditional “party band”.  We aren’t just a “60’s, “70’s”, “80’s”, “90’s” or even a “21st Century” band.  Instead, we encompass all of those categories…and more!  Midnight Blind represents a nice rock mix that will take you back a few years but then vault you right back to the sounds of today…and everything in between.    

So what makes Midnight Blind different from other local cover bands?

For starters, we have both male AND female lead vocals which allows us to cover a wide variety of tunes.  Midnight Blind also has two very seasoned lead guitar players so we are able to play songs that have harmony guitar, many of which you don’t hear other local bands cover.

The members of Midnight Blind are verse in many different instruments so we sometimes swap around what we play.  We also have just the right amount of added keyboards, saxophone and harmonica as well as extra percussion that will get you off your feet without being overbearing.

Lastly, we really may not be all that much different but we have fun doing what we’re doing and that’s all that really matters.

BTW…What’s with the Moon guy?

Oh that’s just “Sonny”.  Sonny Moon.  He’s our official mascot, created by our very own artist extraordinaire Tony Van Curen.  Sonny had been hanging around at night and we couldn’t get rid of him so we asked him to join Midnilght Blind and he graciously accepted (just don’t tell him that he may be entitled to royalties…he hasn’t demanded that yet).
