Rebuilding “Buford”:
Midnight Blind to play benefit in Walworth
Midnight Blind will be performing at a benefit in Walworth on Saturday, August 28 from 6:30-10:30 pm for Vaughn ”Buford” Pembroke, who became paralyzed from the chest down in a motorcycle accident on May 28 while on vacation in Utah. Vaughn has been an active member of the community of Walworth including being active with the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years, a member of the Lions Club, a member of the Walworth, West Walworth and Lincoln fire departments, and serving on the Wayne Central School Board. Monies raised at the benefit will be placed in an account on Vaughn’s behalf to help him return to what he likes to do best: rejoining, participating in, and helping his community.
The benefit (4-11pm), being held on Main Street in front of the hardware store, will include games, numerous raffle items, live music (us!), food and drink, 50/50 raffle every hour and lots of community spirit. $5 minimum donation at the door or pre-sale at Walworth Hardware, MD Davies, Custom Shop Gun Shop, Country Rode Motowerks, or call Kelli at 585-797-4350. Kids 15 & under are FREE. If you wish to drink alcohol, don’t forget your ID. No exceptions!
Labor Day weekend at Papa Joe’s
We will be back at Papa Joe’s in Sodus Point on Friday night, September 3 from 8:30-12:30 pm for a Labor Day weekend celebration. Come rock with us and close out the summer season with a bang!
